Bat Chat: All About Utah Bats
December 8, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This interactive event will take place via Zoom. Once registered, you will receive instructions for how to access the webinar in your confirmation email. We will also be recording this program and will share it with registrants afterward. American Sign Language interpretation is available for this event.
This webinar will cover the biology and ecology of this misunderstood group of animals. Bats have come to the forefront of wildlife conservation in recent years with spread of white-nose syndrome and noted population declines. Often maligned, these animals actually play more roles in ecosystem function than you might imagine and have an absolutely fascinating biology. It is hoped that viewers will leave with a better understanding about how bats function and interact with their environment. We also hope to turn your fear into fascination -dispelling many of the rumors and myths about bats and fill in the gaps with accurate, research-based information. Because many bat species are of conservation concern, and almost all play important roles in the ecosystem, this information is important for protecting these amazing animals.
