Climate change is a threat to ski resorts, the ski industry, and mountain communities that rely on ski tourism. Using historical weather data, future climate projections, and interviews with ski resort managers in Utah, Emily Wilkins & Tara Saley investigate the effects of climate change on ski resorts across the state. In this talk, they will discuss climate projections for Utah’s resorts and adaptation strategies, barriers to adaptation, and the impacts of climate change at these resorts.
