Mountain Mediation Center (a local nonprofit organization working to promote peace and inclusivity in our community) will facilitate a Community Conversation series on Tuesday, Jan 26 at 6:00pm, specifically designed to bring together members of the Latinx community and others who have made a home here in Summit and Wasatch County. The goal of MMC’s ongoing Community Conversations is to promote understanding among local residents through dialogue and sharing of experiences in a safe, respectful space.

Last Tuesday, we met in two groups based on participants’ preferred language (Spanish or English). This week we will come together in a bi-lingual setting. The conversations will be facilitated using Restorative Practices. We encourage families to join as we would like to hear all perspectives and voices from the community. The focus of discussions will be on how each of us has found, or seeks to find, community in what for many of us is a new place.
