Mountain Mediation Center (a local nonprofit organization working to promote peace and inclusivity in our community) will facilitate a two-part Community Conversation series on Tuesday, Jan 19 and Jan 26 at 6:00pm, specifically designed to bring together members of the LatinX community and others who have made a home here in Summit and Wasatch County. The goal of MMC’s ongoing Community Conversations is to promote understanding among local residents through dialogue and sharing of experiences in a safe, respectful space.

On the first evening, we will meet in two groups based on participants’ preferred language (Spanish or English). The following week we will come together in a bi-lingual setting. The conversations will be facilitated using Restorative Practices. The focus of discussions will be on how each of us has found, or seeks to find, community in what for many of us is a new place.
