We’ll discuss what RJ is (and isn’t) and how RJ practices can:
- Build/strengthen relationships among community members by fostering listening and understanding;
- Prevent conflict/harm and promote inclusion by providing a safe space for collaborative problem-solving;
- Promote healing for those harmed in conflict by bringing people together to talk about what happened and how it impacted them;
- Enable a person who caused harm to be accountable for their actions and contribute to discussions on how to possibly repair the harm — creating greater potential for change.
